Foundation Volunteer Adviser
Our Foundation Adviser role is a great way to introduce you to the world of advice. If you’re looking for an opportunity to help people in your local community and make a difference to their lives this is the role for you!
You will be provided with training and guidance to help support our Wirral residents with a variety of issues. In the foundation role you will specialise in Advice Appointments and email advice. This allows you time to prepare using our vast array of information resources, so you can provide appropriate advice and support for your client.
Being a good listener, with attention to detail and the ability to research information are key skills for this role. You don’t need to have any qualifications or experience as we will provide you with training to enable you to carry out the role.
Full General Adviser
Our Full General Adviser role is an option for those who have achieved the Foundation level and are looking for the next step in their role. It entails all aspects of the Foundation role, with the addition of supporting our clients through incoming calls on our Adviceline and outbound calls in response to partner referrals.
This can be really rewarding, speaking to people when they need us most, providing them with support and helping them in their time of need. As well as the skills outlined above, to do this role you will need to feel confident speaking to people on the telephone in order to ask questions and get to the root of the issue.
PIP Form Filling
This role will specialise in supporting our clients who need assistance with completing Personal Independence Payment forms. Personal Independence Payment (PIP) helps with extra living costs if a client has both:
- a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability

This role will be perfect for those who really want to spend time with their clients and make a huge difference to their lives. To do this role you need to be a good listener with strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

You will be organised and able to work in collaboration with the following partner organisations; Citizens Advice Wirral, Age UK Wirral, Wirral Mind, Involve Northwest, Change Grow Live (CGL).
